Serena Gwynn - ceramics

Often drawn to the work of centuries old, unnamed potters/sculptors,  I am also fundamentally influenced by the flora, fauna and geology of West Penwith.

My work is all hand built and much is burnished and smoke fired. For a change of mood I also make forms which are painted with slips, often brightly coloured, and decorated with scratched patterns. I also enjoy working in a miniature scale to make jewellery, using porcelain for strength.
